Bachelor of Surgery Mbbs

The Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is a five-year programme structured into three pre-clinical years and two clinical years. After completing the academic course, graduates must complete a 12-month internship to qualify for certification by the Medical Council and full registration to practice medicine. The programme is designed for students aiming to become medical practitioners and prepares them for various medical career paths.

• CSEC Minimum passes: 5
• CSEC Mandatory Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology
• CAPE Minimum passes: 3
• CAPE Mandatory Subjects: Biology, Chemistry
• Alternative Qualifications: Passes at Levels I & II in Chemistry, Biology and any other subject in the Pre-Science programme (Faculty of Science and Technology)
• Triple Major Associate Degree in Science from an approved Community College with a GPA greater than 3.5
• Transfer applicants or applicants holding first degrees from Faculty of Science and Technology must follow matriculation regulations in the Faculty’s Undergraduate Handbook
