Bachelor of Engineering Electrical

The Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering at Ndejje University is designed to build theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the design, operation, and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems. Students study power systems, electrical machines, control systems, electronics, telecommunications, renewable energy technologies, and instrumentation, with outcomes that include designing and troubleshooting electrical systems, using simulation and automation tools, and conducting laboratory and field measurements.

The program includes extensive lab work and project-based learning, supported by project modules such as a group project and individual project II. Study also covers areas including maintenance engineering, electrical installation design, energy policy and planning, and high voltage and network planning within power systems engineering. The course award is a bachelor degree, and it runs on a day/weekend study mode with intake in January and August.

Direct Entry

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes
• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with two principal passes in Physics and Mathematics.

Diploma Entry

• Relevant diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field (Upper Second or Credit), recognized by NCHE

Mature Age Entry

• A minimum score of 50% in a recognized Mature Age Entry Examination

International Applicants

• Secondary school completion equivalent to Uganda’s A-Level
• Academic documents must be equated where necessary
• Proof of English proficiency if prior education was not in English
