Bachelor of Engineering Mechanical

The Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) at Ndejje University prepares students for work in the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. Students study thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, machine design, manufacturing processes, robotics, and energy systems. The course also includes work on engineering tools and software for modeling, simulation, design, and manufacturing.

Learning is supported through hands-on laboratory work, workshops, industrial training, and engineering tools. The structure runs across four years and includes modules such as Engineering Mechanics I, Engineering Mathematics I and II, Engineering Drawing I, Structural Analysis II, Thermodynamics II (Heat Transfer), and Manufacturing II (Technology), plus a Final Year Project II.

• Direct Entry: Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes
• Direct Entry: Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with two principal passes in Physics and Mathematics or a relevant subject.
• Diploma Entry: Relevant diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration and Air conditioning, Automobile Engineering or related field (Upper Second or Credit), recognized by NCHE
• Mature Age Entry: A minimum score of 50% in a recognized Mature Age Entry Examination
• International Applicants: Secondary school completion equivalent to Uganda’s A-Level; Academic documents must be equated where necessary; Proof of English proficiency if prior education was not in English
