Bachelor of Pharmacy

The Bachelor of Pharmacy (course code: PHA) is offered by the Faculty of Health Sciences at Mbarara University of Science and Technology. Entry pathways include direct entry and diploma entry. For direct entry, applicants need two principal passes in Biology and Chemistry and at least a subsidiary pass in either Physics or Mathematics. For diploma entry, applicants need a Diploma in Pharmacy and O’ Level credit passes in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.

The programme has a duration of 5 years and is full time. Admission includes an entrance examination with three written papers covering Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Natural products, Introduction to Dispensing, and Physiology.
