Bachelor of Science in Animal Production and Management

The Bachelor of Science in Animal Production and Management at Ndejje University trains students in livestock production, animal health, and farm management. Students study animal nutrition, animal physiology, genetics and animal breeding, animal health and disease control, livestock production systems, and meat science and processing, alongside farm management, agricultural economics, and research methods.

The course runs for 3 years in day study mode and follows a semester-based structure. It includes an internship or field attachment, an animal production project, and a research project. Students also take modules such as farm planning and management, livestock marketing, livestock production project work, and environmental management.

Direct Entry
Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes
Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least 2 principal passes, preferably in Biology or Agriculture.

Diploma Entry
A relevant diploma in Animal Production, Agriculture, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Mature Age Entry
Candidates must have passed a recognized Mature Age Entry Examination and be at least 25 years old.

International Applicants
Qualifications equivalent to Uganda Advanced Level, with certified academic documents and proof of English proficiency where applicable.
