Bachelor of Sports Science and Management

The Bachelor of Sports Science and Management at Ndejje University is a 3-year program that combines scientific knowledge of human movement with management skills. Students study areas including biomechanics, physiology, psychology, and sports management, with modules such as Foundations of Anatomy and Physiology, Sports Biomechanics, General Psychology and Sports Psychology, and Introduction to Sports Management.

Learning includes both theory and practical training. The course includes Sports Pedagogy and Coaching principles, Sports Coaching Theory and Practice, and exercise-focused study such as Exercise Nutrition and Human Physiology and Bioenergetics. Students also complete Field Attachment and Practical Internships, alongside Research Methods/Project, with applied learning supported by sports labs, gyms, and training fields.

The program prepares graduates for careers in sports coaching, fitness training, sports administration, and health promotion. Graduates can work in sports federations, schools, fitness centers, rehabilitation clinics, or pursue postgraduate studies, and they develop skills such as designing and implementing training programs and contributing to injury prevention and rehabilitation strategies.

Direct Entry

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes
• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with 1 or 2 principal passes in subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics.

Diploma Entry

• Relevant diploma in Physical Education, Sports Science, Education, or Health Sciences with at least a Credit or Second Class from a recognized institution

Mature Age Entry

• A minimum score of 50% in a recognized Mature Age Entry Examination

International Applicants

• Secondary school completion equivalent to Uganda’s A-Level
• Academic documents must be equated where necessary
• Proof of English proficiency if prior education was not in English
