About this program

The Diploma in Information Technology (programme code DIT) at Mountains of the Moon University is a full-time programme that prepares students for study in information technology. It is designed for students with relevant academic passes or an approved certificate in computer science or an IT discipline.

Teaching is provided on a full-time basis with an intake in August. Admission depends on academic results, including principal passes and passes that include Mathematics, or an approved prior certificate with additional requirements related to basic computing and computer applications.

Entry requirements

  • At least one (1) principal pass in any subject at UACE or its equivalent from a recognized institution obtained at the same sitting.
  • At least five passes including Mathematics at UCE, or its equivalent.
  • Or a one-year certificate in Computer Science or in any IT discipline, or in a science field from a recognized institution. Candidates with a certificate in other disciplines could be considered for admission provided they have other certificates in Basic Computing and Computer Applications.
