Diploma in Information Technology

The Diploma in Information Technology at Ndejje University equips students with the knowledge and practical skills to manage, develop, and support modern information systems. Students cover computer systems, networking, software development, databases, and cybersecurity, with learning outcomes that include understanding core IT concepts and systems, building basic software applications, managing databases, and applying cybersecurity principles.

The diploma includes hands-on training using modern IT tools and technologies. Training uses well-equipped computer laboratories for real-world practice. The award is a diploma, taught on the main campus. The duration is 2 years, and study is in a Day/Weekend format, with intake in January/August.

Direct Entry

• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least 1 principal pass and 2 subsidiary passes

Certificate Entry (Upgrade / Credit Transfer)

• Relevant certificate in Information Technology or related field from a recognized institution

Mature Age Entry

• A minimum score of 50% in a recognized Mature Age Entry Examination

International Applicants

• Qualifications equivalent to Uganda’s A-Level
• Academic documents must be equated where necessary
• Proof of English proficiency if prior education was not in English
