Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

The Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at Ndejje University equips students with knowledge and practical skills to design, manufacture, operate, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment. The program provides a foundation in engineering mechanics, thermodynamics, manufacturing processes, machine design, fluid mechanics, and maintenance engineering.

Course structure includes Introduction to Agriculture, Basic Crop Production, Animal Husbandry, Soil Science, Database Systems, Business Process Modeling, Web-Based Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Design, Research Methods, Business Ethics, Internship / Field Attachment, and Project Work. The award is a diploma, delivered on the Main/Kampala campus with Day/Weekend study, and includes internship or field attachment and project work. The duration is 2 years, with intake in January/August.

Entry Requirements – Certificate in Agriculture

• Direct Entry: Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes
• Direct Entry: Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with 1 principal pass in a relevant subject.
• Diploma Entry: Relevant diploma in ICT or related field (Upper Second or Credit), recognized by NCHE
• Mature Age Entry: A minimum score of 50% in a recognized Mature Age Entry Examination
• International Applicants: Secondary school completion equivalent to Uganda’s A-Level
• International Applicants: Academic documents must be equated where necessary
• International Applicants: Proof of English proficiency if prior education was not in English
