Diploma in Social Work and Social Administration

The Diploma in Social Work and Social Administration at Nkumba University builds a foundation in social work theories, principles, and practices. Students study social welfare policies, human behavior and development, counseling skills, community development, social research, and ethical considerations in social work.

The program includes hands-on experience through field placements. Students apply their learning in real-world settings and develop skills such as client assessment, case management, advocacy, and community engagement.

Applicants for Diploma programmes should hold:

• A Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with a minimum of 5 passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
• Uganda Advanced Level Certificate (UACE) with at least one Principal Pass, and 2 subsidiary passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
• Or A certificate obtained after 2 years of post UCE study from a recognized institution.
• Or Any equivalent Certificate besides UCE and UACE from a recognized institution.
