Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus (METU NCC) has offered five scholarships for students from organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member state in Turkey. The scholarships are offered for undergraduate study in field of Chemical Engineering, Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, Computer Engineering, Economics, English language teaching, Business Administration and Political Science and International Relations. The scholarship include 50% tuition fee waiver and 50% discount in the charges of campus dorms. Maximum duration of the scholarship is 10 semesters in the degree program and two semesters in the English Preparatory School.

Eligibility: -To be a citizen of an OIC member state. -Having satisfied one of the minimum international or national qualifications. -Date of birth not be earlier than 1993. -A minimum of 75 in TOEFL IBT or a minimum of 6.0 (overall band) in IELTS (students who fail to satisfy English Language requirements will be permitted to spend an academic year at the English Preparatory School). -Physically fit.
Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: Students of OIC member states (Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Benin, Brunei Darussalam, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Gabon, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyz Republic, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Maldives, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Suriname, Syria, Tajikistan, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan and Yemen) can apply for the scholarship.
Scholarship Description:
The general Secretariat of the organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) presents its compliments to the member states and has the honour to state that the Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus (METU NCC) has offered five scholarships under the OIC educational exchange programme for students from OIC member states for the academic year 2013-2014 (commencing from September 2013).
Number of award(s): Five scholarships are offered.
Duration of award(s): Maximum duration of the scholarship is 10 semesters in the degree program and two semesters in the English Preparatory School.
What does it cover? The scholarships involve 50% tuition fee waiver (regular fee US $ 7500 per year- OIC scholars US $ 3750 per year) and 50% discount in campus dorms in single room suites (regular US $ 3500 per year- OIC scholars US $ 1750 per year). Scholarships do not cover cost of air tickets. Students will pay for their living expenses, health insurance, books etc. which would be around 400 US Dollars per month.
How to Apply: Applications must be filed online at the METU NCC portal and copies must reach the OIC general secretariat before 01 July 2013.
