Diploma in Accounting

The AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting at East Coast College is an intermediate-level course. Students study Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Tax Processes for Businesses (VAT and payroll procedures), and Business Awareness, including ethical considerations. The programme builds practical skills and a deeper understanding of accounting principles.

Teaching is delivered over 6 months, with part-time study options. Assessment is completed via a computer based exam. Students work on real-world applications, including using accounting software and interpreting financial information.

On successful completion, students can pursue finance roles such as Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Payroll Administrator, and Bookkeeper. The qualification also supports progression to further study, including the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting or other professional accountancy qualifications.

• You will need a good standard of English and Maths, equivalent to a Level 2 in Functional Skills or grade 4/C or above in GCSE.
