Diploma in Accounting Level

The Runshaw College L3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting builds skills for financial processes. Students study Business Awareness, Preparing Financial Statements, Management Accounting Techniques, and Tax Processes for Businesses. The course covers maintaining cost accounting records, advanced bookkeeping, VAT tax returns, payroll, and preparing financial statements, extending topics from Level 2.

Runshaw College delivers this diploma as a blended course. Students complete online award-winning video lessons available weekly/on demand and expect to spend around 6 hours studying independently online each week. On campus, students attend classes with a tutor every 4 weeks and must travel for exams. Assessment uses practical computer-based assessments sat periodically throughout the year.

On successful completion, students can progress to Level 4 AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting. The programme lists career opportunities such as accounts assistant, bookkeeper, finance assistant, and tax assistant/accountant.
