Imperial College London offers the A&BK Scholarships in the Department of Chemical Engineering. The award provides a cash bursary of £20,000 per year to be paid towards tuition fees and living costs for an undergraduate programme in the Department of Chemical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering.

The scholarship is for applicants with a Home fee status who plan to commence a three-year or four-year full-time undergraduate course in the Department of Chemical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering. It is available to applicants classed as from a 'widening participation' background who qualify for Imperial’s contextual admissions schemes, and it is for new entrants only.

Imperial College London states that the Department of Chemical Engineering will rank applicants who meet the scholarship eligibility criteria by academic merit and/or potential, based on the UCAS application. Applicants apply through the stated application process and must meet the required deadline timing for finance confirmation and an offer of admission.

The successful scholar receives a cash bursary of £20,000 per year, payable for a maximum of 4 academic years, excluding repeat periods of study. Imperial College London states the scholarship funds are used to pay relevant tuition fees, and all remaining funds from the initial £20,000 are paid to the student as a maintenance grant. Imperial College London also states the scholarship cannot be deferred and is awarded subject to acceptance of award terms and conditions.

• Open to all students who meet the conditions below by the deadline of 11:59 pm (UK local time), Friday 30th May 2025.Household income of £42,000 or less confirmed by their local funding authority (SFE, SFW, SAAS or SFNI).Possess a Home fee status.Be classed as from a 'widening participation' background and qualify for Imperial’s contextual admissions schemes.Plan to commence their undergraduate course in the Department of Chemical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering.Have an offer of admission from the College to study a three-year or four-year full-time undergraduate course in the Department of Chemical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering.Available to new entrants only; students already studying the course are not eligible.

• Cash bursary of £20,000 per year.Payable towards tuition fees and living costs.Tuition fees are paid from the scholarship, with remaining funds from the initial £20,000 paid to the student as a maintenance grant.Payable for a maximum of 4 academic years (excluding repeat periods of study).

1. Submit a student finance application and be 'means-tested' by Student Finance England (SFE) or an equivalent funding authority. Household income must be less than £42,000 per annum and must be confirmed to Imperial by 11:59 pm (UK local time), Friday 30th May 2025. Consent to share household income information with the College must be provided.Submit a UCAS application form for the course in the Department of Chemical Engineering and have an offer of admission by 11:59 pm (UK local time), Friday 30th May 2025.
