Swansea University International Excellence Scholarship in UK (Up to £5,000 Tuition Fee Award)

Swansea University International Excellence Scholarships are available to overseas students who have demonstrated academic excellence or show potential to do so during their time at Swansea University. Swansea University awards the scholarships as a discount on tuition fees worth up to £5,000 for the first year of study.

Applicants must have received an offer to study an undergraduate course or a postgraduate taught course at Swansea University to apply. Applicants complete the scholarship form that best represents the area of their country of ordinary residence, defined as the country where they have been living for the last 5 years and excluding countries where they reside purely for the purpose of studying.

Selection is based on scholarship applications submitted through the relevant country/region form and processed with included transcripts of previous studies and proof of average score/GPA issued by the institution. Swansea University also requires applicants to read the full terms and conditions to determine if they are eligible to apply.

Scholarships are a tuition fee discount for the first year of study. Undergraduate students who receive the full £5,000 in their first year of study are awarded an additional £2,000 in their second year if they achieve a minimum average of 70% in their first year.

• Country of ordinary residence excludes countries in which the applicant resides purely for the purpose of studying
• Only one application per student will be considered
• Applicants are required to include transcripts of previous studies
• Applicants are required to provide proof of their average score/GPA issued by the institution (if no average score or GPA is on the transcript, the applicant must provide proof so the application can be processed)

1. Complete the scholarship form that best represents the area of your country of ordinary residence.
2. Use the China application route if applying for the International Excellence Scholarship (China).
3. Use the Rest of the World application route if applying for the International Excellence Scholarship (Rest of the World).
4. If you are unable to use the Google form for the relevant route, submit the alternative International Excellence Form for China (January & March 2027 entry) if applying under the China route.
5. Include transcripts of previous studies and provide proof of your average score/GPA issued by the institution (if no average score or GPA is on your transcript).
6. Submit only one application per student.
