Doctor of Occupational Therapy Otd

The Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) at Lincoln Memorial University prepares students with skills such as critical reasoning, client-centered care, evidence-based practice, and collaborative care. The program is designed to support professional work in occupational therapy through classroom and laboratory spaces.

The OTD program is located on a healthcare campus in West Knoxville, Tennessee, alongside the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and the Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies (PA). It also shares classroom and lab spaces with the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, creating interprofessional educational opportunities.

• Direct entry: Students who possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Entry with 90+ hours (3+3): Students who have performed exceptionally well during their first 90 undergraduate hours are able to enter the program without a bachelor's degree.
• Guaranteed professional admittance (GPA)- LMU students only can earn a B.S. in General Exercise Science and an OTD. (Internal to LMU undergraduate students only via the GPA Pathway)
• Admissions decisions are based on components of your application package, including cumulative GPAs, personal interview, and professional references (Graduate Record Examination scores are NOT required for application).
