View Doctor of Occupational Therapy (O.t.d.) - Blended Program

The Doctor of Occupational Therapy (O.T.D.) Tampa Bay program at Nova Southeastern University is a blended doctoral program in occupational therapy. Students complete face-to-face didactic, research, and clinical training. The curriculum is described as an accelerated three-year plan, built to prepare students to contribute as an interdisciplinary health care team member across diverse practice settings.

Teaching is delivered in a blended format of approximately 70% online and 30% on-campus. Students attend a monthly four-day institute with on-campus presence in Clearwater, FL. The program is described as a three and one third year program, with credit-hour requirements that differ based on when students enroll.

• Complete an undergraduate or graduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale from all undergraduate coursework completed.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale across all prerequisite coursework.
• No prerequisite course grade lower than a C will be accepted.
• Submit a personal statement and Professional résumé or curriculum vitae.
• Observation Hours: Though we do not require observation hours, we encourage prospective applicants to have exposure to and familiarity with the profession of occupational therapy and the various populations with which OTs work, so that they are prepared to effectively articulate their interest in the field.
• Official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Scores (If applicable).
• All applicants complete an asynchronous interview via the Kira Assessments platform.
• GRE is not required.
