Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology At Northeastern University

The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Northeastern University is arranged through an agreement between Northeastern University (on behalf of its Bouve College of Health Sciences) and Stonehill College. The program prepares future speech-language pathologists for clinical practice in educational and health care settings, with a comprehensive program of study that emphasizes teamwork and interdisciplinary approaches to complex service delivery issues.

Up to eight Stonehill College students who meet the stated requirements receive preferred admission into the program in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders. Eligible students under the agreement can receive tuition scholarships of at least $10,000. Admission involves an online application through CSDCAS, plus submitted credentials and required supporting documents by the posted term entry deadline.

Eligibility & application process includes:

• Application deadline: submit the application and required documents by the deadline posted on the Bouve College of Health Sciences website.
• Minimum GPA requirement: minimum Cumulative GPA (CGPA) required for priority admission is 3.5. A minimum CGPA is a prerequisite for eligibility under this agreement, and students outside the range may work directly with the program for an assessment of admission and student success.

• Prerequisite courses: completion of all five prerequisite courses listed below, or their equivalents, with a grade of B or higher in each course:

  • Phonetics
• ASHA Undergraduate Prerequisites: completion of the four ASHA undergraduate prerequisite requirements listed below is highly suggested; a grade of C or higher is required for each course:
  • Biological Science

• Northeastern reserves the right to rescind an offer of acceptance if the student is no longer considered in good academic standing or disciplinary sanctions occur between the time of acceptance and matriculation.
