The University of West Florida offers an online Master of Science in Cybersecurity that prepares students to plan, implement, upgrade, manage, and monitor the security of data, systems, and networks. Key study topics include computer and network security, digital forensics, data security, secure software development, information security management, and threat monitoring. The degree includes a required capstone course where students identify, research, and report on contemporary cybersecurity issues.
The program is fully online and takes only two years to complete. Students gain hands-on experience through virtualized computing systems in the UWF Cyber Range. The degree totals 30 credit hours: 21 credit hours of foundational topics and 9 credit hours of elective courses. Students choose from four concentrations: Data Security, National Security, Security Management, or Software and System Security.
