This program is a master’s degree in creative writing at Saint Leo University. It includes coursework delivered through an online format and a book thesis project as part of study. The thesis project involves developing a longer work from an initial short story, connected to themes drawn from the student’s own experiences.
Students complete coursework primarily online and meet for a summer residency at University Campus for one week. During the residency, several accomplished authors are available to read from their work and offer advice on students’ writing projects, followed by craft workshops. Students also take part in online discussions with classmates and receive feedback through writing workshops with instructors.
