Wilkes University: the applicant's brief

6 findings
  1. The short answer

Wilkes University is a university in the United States that offers undergraduate study and is classified as a Doctoral/Professional University. It suits students who want a U.S. institution with a published bachelor’s option and do not need a long list of programme choices.

  2. What you can study

The only programme listed is Bachelor of Arts and Sciences at bachelor’s level. The programme catalogue appears to be very limited in the published information, so confirm the current undergraduate options directly with the university before applying.

  3. Getting in

International applicants should check the official website for entry requirements, required documents, deadlines, and any English language requirements. Because detailed admissions criteria are not published in the available information, confirm the exact application process with the admissions office before you apply.

  4. What it costs

The university does not publish a fee for international students; confirm the current rate with its admissions office. Living costs in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania will depend on housing, food, transport, and personal spending, so budget for those separately.

  5. Coming from abroad

The language of instruction is not published. Before applying, confirm visa support, English language requirements, housing options, health insurance, and what documents the university needs from overseas applicants.

  6. How it compares

There are 2,515 universities in the United States, so Wilkes sits in a very crowded national system. Its main distinguishing points in the published information are that it is a Doctoral/Professional University and that the listed study option is limited to a bachelor’s degree programme, which makes it a narrower choice than many U.S. universities.

Written from this university's catalogue entry and its cited encyclopedia summary. Figures are only shown where the institution or a cited source publishes them — always confirm fees and entry requirements with the university itself before applying.
