- Master from the School of Medicine
- Master of Education
- Master of Law from the Universities of Zurich and Lausanne
- Master of Criminal Law, Magistracy Specialism
- Master of Science in Physical Education and Sports Didactics
- Master of Science in Health Sciences
- All MASs (PhD programs)
However, for the Master of Law, two specializations, “International and Comparative Law” and “Legal Theory,” are eligible for Masters scholarships.
University of Lausanne Scholarship Coverage
Recipients of the University of Lausanne Scholarship are entitled to the following benefits:
- The scholarship is granted for the minimum statutory period of the chosen program, amounting to CHF 1,600 per month from September 15th to July 15th (10 months per year) for the entire duration of the master’s degree (either 1.5 or 2 years, depending on the program).
- Please note that the scholarship amount may not cover the full cost of living in Switzerland. Candidates are encouraged to review the reference budget for UNIL students [here].
- Students awarded this scholarship will be exempt from fixed registration fees for courses, with the exception of a CHF 80.00 fee payable each semester.
Eligibility Criteria fir University of Lausanne Scholarship
To be considered for the University of Lausanne Scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Proficiency in English or French.
- Open to applicants from all countries.
- A distinguished academic record, demonstrating exceptional performance during previous studies.
- Possession of a foreign university degree recognized as equivalent to a bachelor’s degree at UNIL before the start of the master’s program at UNIL.
- No prior enrollment at UNIL.
- A language proficiency level of at least B2 in either French or English, depending on the language of instruction for the chosen master’s program.
- Payment of the CHF 200.00 administration fee.
Application Process for University of Lausanne Scholarship
To apply for the University of Lausanne Scholarship, follow these instructions:
Required Documents for UNIL Master’s Grants:
- A passport-sized photograph (JPEG format) in the application form.
- A completed and signed application form.
- Certified copies of academic qualifications and all grade transcripts from previous university examinations.
- A copy of your secondary school diploma. If not in French, German, English, or Italian, provide a certified/notarized translation.
- A copy of the program description for the last semester of your bachelor’s degree if it has not yet been obtained.
- A copy of your passport or identity card.
- A well-crafted cover letter.
- A comprehensive curriculum vitae.
- An official certificate demonstrating language proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS for English, DALF or DELF for French; B2 is the minimum required level).
- Two original recommendation letters from your lecturers, sealed in envelopes.
- Proof of payment of the CHF 200.00 administration fee (application processing fee).
