Diploma in Smart Human Settlement Urban Planning

The Diploma in Smart Human Settlement and Urban Planning at Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University trains students to work with smart human settlements planning and design, using smart planning techniques, research methods, design studio work, and data analytics. Year 1 covers topics including professional communication skills, introduction to computers, GIS for urban planning, and human settlement science data analytics.

The program is organised into two semesters in Year 1, with modules across planning and design, research project work, ethics and entrepreneurship, and design studio modules. It includes a designated research project and a design studio sequence, plus instruction in GIS and smart human settlements management systems.
