The Master in Business Administration at Midlands State University covers business and management topics across financial accounting, management information systems, the economic environment, organisational behaviour, business statistics, human resource management, financial management, marketing management, corporate governance, e-commerce, business research methods, strategic management, entrepreneurship, change management, and project management. Students complete a dissertation of approximately 20 000 words on a topic related to their managerial interest.
The programme is studied on a full-time basis. Students complete at least 15 modules made up of 13 core modules and 2 non-core modules. Each module has 60 contact hours. Assessment is based on continuous assessment (30%) and formal examinations at the end of each semester (70%). A dissertation submission also applies, with submission in three hard bound copies.
