Anglistik/Amerikanistik

Anglistik/Amerikanistik is a Bachelor program taught at Universität Erfurt, Germany. Intake: Wintersemester. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (6 Semester) options.

The Bachelor’s programme Anglistik/Amerikanistik at Universität Erfurt focuses on the English language, literatures, and cultures of English-speaking regions. Students study language science, anglophone literary studies, English language practice, and culture & history. The majority of classes are taught in English. The programme also supports teaching aspirations through the addition of Fachdidaktik for English education.

The programme is structured as a two-subject Bachelor with a main subject and a minor subject. The main subject includes Studium Fundamentale and supports applying learning in practice. In the main subject, an Orientierungsphase runs first, followed by a Qualifizierungsphase that ends with a Bachelor thesis. Seminars typically have 20 to 25 students, and some modules specify English language levels for Sprachstudium and Sprachpraxis.

The minimum requirements for admission in Anglistik/Amerikanistik at Universität Erfurt for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:
