Master's in Philosophie (Sprache – Wissen – Handlung)

Philosophie (Sprache – Wissen – Handlung) is a Masters program taught at Universität Erfurt, Germany. Intake: Winter- und Sommersemester. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 Semester) options.

The degree is taught in full-time or part-time study. It is structured into a three-semester study phase and a fourth semester for the Master-Arbeit (Abschlussmodul). Students choose from six modules (GH, GP, MK, MP, SL, WW), each with 9 LP/ECTS, while students entering with a non-philosophy degree complete additional Propädeutik modules in the first study year.

The minimum requirements for admission in Philosophie (Sprache – Wissen – Handlung) at Universität Erfurt for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universität Erfurt.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universität Erfurt as pre-requiste for admission in Philosophie (Sprache – Wissen – Handlung).

Access requirements (Zugangsvoraussetzungen):

• überdurchschnittlicher Abschluss eines Bachelor-Studiengangs (Note 2,3 oder besser) oder eines vergleichbaren Hochschulstudiums im Fach Philosophie im Umfang von mindestens 60 LP/ECTS, vergleichbar einem Nebenfachstudium an der Universität Erfurt oder
• Abschluss eines grundständigen Studiums in einem wissenschaftsorientierten Fach im Umfang von mindestens 90 LP/ECTS

Bewerber*innen without philosophical prior knowledge must acquire the required subject-specific basics (Propädeutik) during the course (see Aufbau des Studiums).

Students entering with a degree in another subject are admitted with the condition to successfully complete the following three Zusatzmodule in the first study year: Propädeutik: Geschichte der Philosophie, Propädeutik: Praktische Philosophie, Propädeutik: Theoretische Philosophie.

Propädeutik modules have 6 LP/ECTS each.
