Bachelor's in Staatswissenschaften – Rechtswissenschaft

Staatswissenschaften – Rechtswissenschaft is a Bachelor program taught at Universität Erfurt, Germany. Intake: Wintersemester. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (6 semesters) options.

Universität Erfurt offers the Bachelor’s programme “Rechtswissenschaft (Staatswissenschaften)”. Students learn to capture and apply German and European law with international references. The programme also teaches the legal knowledge and the political, social, and economic foundations of law, together with the ability to reflect on them theoretically. It aims to help graduates assess cases legally, shape future legal relationships, and contribute to further development of law.

The Bachelor is organised as a two-subject degree with Hauptfach and Nebenfach. The Studienform is “Voll- und Teilzeit”, and the programme integrates “Studium Fundamentale” into the Hauptfach. The Rechtswissenschaft track includes an “Orientierungsphase” for the first part of the degree and a “Qualifizierungsphase” in which students develop a personal focus; the Q-Phase ends with the Bachelor thesis in the Hauptfach. Teaching is in German.

Graduates work in legal-related fields named by Universität Erfurt, including legal advice for companies and associations, public administration, national and international non-governmental organisations, legal research, management roles in private companies such as compliance departments, and roles in public relations and politics. The programme cannot be completed with the Staatsexamen.

The minimum requirements for admission in Staatswissenschaften – Rechtswissenschaft at Universität Erfurt for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universität Erfurt.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universität Erfurt as pre-requiste for admission in Staatswissenschaften – Rechtswissenschaft.
