Bachelor's in Kunst

Kunst is a Bachelor program taught at Universität Erfurt, Germany. Intake: Winter. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (6 semesters) options.

The Universität Erfurt Bachelor-Studiengang Kunst combines artistic practice with art history and art pedagogy (Kunstpädagogik). In the artistic practice part, students develop their own forms of expression and learn techniques from classical painting to contemporary media. The program also includes art-theoretical study focused on methods for describing and interpreting artworks, plus art pedagogy as communication and teaching through art.

The bachelor is structured as a two-subject Bachelor with a Hauptfach and a Nebenfach. In the Hauptfach Kunst, the first two semesters are an Orientierungsphase, followed by a Qualifizierungsphase that ends with a Bachelor-Arbeit. The Hauptfach includes Pflichtmodule such as Kunsttheorie, Kunstgeschichte, Medienkunst and Kunstgeschichtliche Exkursion, plus Wahlpflichtmodule in multiple art project formats.

The minimum requirements for admission in Kunst at Universität Erfurt for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universität Erfurt.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universität Erfurt as pre-requiste for admission in Kunst.
