Bachelor's in Romanistik

Romanistik is a Bachelor program taught at Universität Erfurt, Germany. Intake: Winter. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (6 semesters) options.

Universität Erfurt offers the Bachelor’s degree programme Romanistik (French/Spanish). Students study French or Spanish language practice and develop methods for receptive skills in other Romance languages. The programme includes four areas: literary studies, linguistics, language practice, and regional studies, culture, and interculturality.

The study structure follows a two-subject Bachelor model with a Hauptfach and Nebenfach. Romanistik is offered only as a Nebenfach. The first two semesters form the Orientierungsphase with compulsory modules such as Romanistisches Propädeutikum and Grundlagen der romanistischen Sprachwissenschaft. The next semesters continue in the Qualifizierungsphase through compulsory and elective modules, and the phase ends in the Hauptfach with the Bachelor thesis.

The minimum requirements for admission in Romanistik at Universität Erfurt for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Universität Erfurt.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Universität Erfurt as pre-requiste for admission in Romanistik.
