MSC Molecular Techniques in Life Science 1
Introduction
MSC Molecular Techniques in Life Science 1 is a Masters program taught at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. Intake: August. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2-year programme (120 ECTS credits)) options.
The MSc Molecular Techniques in Life Science at KTH Royal Institute of Technology prepares graduates for a professional research career in life science. It focuses on molecular techniques for disease therapies and diagnostic tools, with substantial training in data analysis, including bioinformatics and programming.
The programme is delivered as a two-year programme (120 ECTS credits) in English. During the first year at Karolinska Institutet and Stockholm University, students take courses in molecular genetics, genomics, translational medicine, biostatistics, programming and bioinformatics, plus practical molecular life science methods and large-scale biological data analysis. In the second year at KTH, students take advanced courses in applied gene technology and proteomics, elective courses in systems biology, drug development or molecular life science projects, and complete a degree project.
