Introduction

Engineering with An Integrated Foundation Year is a Diploma program taught at Brunel University Uxbridge, UK. Intake: September. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years full-time; 5 years full-time with placement) options.

Brunel University Uxbridge’s Engineering with an Integrated Foundation Year is a one-year, full-time foundation course that prepares students for degree-level engineering. Students study engineering mathematics, physics, mechanics, and materials science, and are introduced to concepts of electronic engineering. The course also develops verbal, graphic, and written communication skills.

Course delivery combines theory, hands-on practical sessions, and project work. Students use technical facilities, including the structures and materials laboratory, and access latest computing software in purpose-built computer laboratories. There are two one-week project breaks where students work in teams on control systems, designing models, analysing design, and calculating physical parameters.
