Visual Arts
Introduction
Visual Arts is a program taught at Alabama A&M University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Visual Arts program at Alabama A&M University is designed to develop in-depth skills across more than one area of the visual arts. It emphasizes the expressive potential of integrating media through a cross-disciplinary, interactive approach. Students collaborate and build connections with scientists, engineers, and humanities scholars while addressing topical and artistic concerns.
Students are introduced to a range of visual arts practices early in their development to compare options before focusing on a particular medium. The course sequence builds broader skills and helps students combine materials and methods. The program includes degree tracks and minors: a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design or Studio Art, plus minors in Graphic Design, Studio Art, and Art History.
