Aerospace Engineering, Ph.D.
Introduction
Aerospace Engineering, Ph.D. is a PhD program taught at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Aerospace Engineering, Ph.D. program involves original research in aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, flight mechanics, and space systems. Students develop new knowledge while working on topics such as high-fidelity simulations of turbulent flows, modeling advanced propellants, designing composite structures, and guidance and control strategies for space vehicles.
Research is supported through close faculty mentorship and an interdisciplinary environment, with access to advanced laboratories and high-performance computing. Facilities include wind tunnels, shock tubes, rocket and turbine thrust stands, a spacecraft maneuver testbed, and tools for metacomposites research, plus the AI.Panther HPC Cluster for large-scale simulations and multi-physics modeling. Graduate assistantships may be available on a competitive basis.
