Introduction
Molecular Biology major is a Bachelor program taught at Colgate University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Molecular Biology major is for students interested in biology at the molecular level. It requires several courses in both biology and chemistry. Biology coursework includes Evolution, Ecology, and Diversity (with its laboratory), and Molecules, Cells, and Genes (with its laboratory), plus additional biology courses connected to the Process of Biology requirement.
The major includes a required Biology process course selected from Genetics, Molecular Biology, or Cell Biology, each paired with its laboratory component. Students complete three electives with numbered-level rules, including a laboratory component requirement for one specific 300-level course. The major also includes a one-credit research tutorial experience, plus cognate courses in chemistry, math or computer science, and physics.
