Bachelor's in Philosophy major
Introduction
Philosophy major is a Bachelor program taught at Colgate University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Philosophy Major at Colgate University is built around nine philosophy courses, or ten if the major is a candidate for honors. Students study philosophy through required and elective course groupings, including Value Theory electives, Metaphysics and Epistemology electives, Major Figures electives, and Philosophy Seminar courses.
The major allows students to take as many 100- and 200-level courses as they wish, but no more than three such courses count toward the major. PHIL 225 Logic I is strongly recommended and can count toward the major in addition to three other 100- or 200-level courses. Only one independent study course can count toward completion of the major.
