Bachelor's in Political Science minor
Introduction
Political Science minor is a Bachelor program taught at Colgate University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Political Science minor at Colgate University requires five political science courses. Students complete two lower-level subfield electives and three upper-level electives, with courses selected from defined political science subfields.
Lower-level electives must be at the 100- and 200-level and carry one of these course attributes in the offerings: POAP (American politics), POCP (comparative politics), POIR (international relations), or POPT (political theory). The two required lower-level courses must come from different subfields. Upper-level electives are at the 300- and 400-level and also use these attributes, with no subfield restriction for the three courses.
Course credit toward the minor follows additional stipulations: no course with a grade below C counts. Typically, no more than one independent study course, transfer credit, or political science course taken while participating in a Colgate off-campus study group (except those study groups sponsored by the Department of Political Science) is accepted for credit. A student cannot count courses toward the political science minor if they are also counted toward a major in international relations.
