Bachelor's in Studio Art

Studio Art is a Bachelor program taught at Defiance College, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Art and Design program at Defiance College includes a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and an 18-credit-hour Art minor. The Graphic Design program provides a multidisciplinary education based on art and design principles, applications, theories, and history. Students develop skills aligned with visual literacy, visual and verbal communication, digital technology, collaboration, and creative problem solving.

Graphic Design coursework includes foundational studies and advanced courses in graphic design specializations, with upper-level options such as Internship, Capstone, Design Thinking, and the Business of Graphic Design. Graphic Design majors are required to complete an internship for academic credit and can gain portfolio-building experience through Creating Defiance, a working design studio. Studio activities also use facilities such as a photography studio, woodshop, computer lab, and equipment including 3D printers and a laser engraver.

The minimum requirements for admission in Studio Art at Defiance College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Defiance College.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Defiance College as pre-requiste for admission in Studio Art.
