Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, in collaboration with the United States Naval Community College (USNCC), offers an Associate of Science in Engineering Fundamentals for active-duty enlisted members of the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Coast Guard Reservists. The program focuses on applying mathematics, science, and technical topics to solve technical or scientific problems, conducting experiments and analyzing data, and demonstrating professional and ethical responsibilities.

Students study engineering fundamentals with an Engineering Fundamentals Certificate made up of seven required courses. Coursework includes Calculus and Analytical Geometry II, Physics III for Engineers, Physics Laboratory for Engineers, Statics, Introduction to Engineering, Introduction to Computing for Engineers, and Graphical Communications. The program also includes a Naval Studies Certificate with courses covering naval ethics and leadership, modern naval history, naval force design, civilian/military relations, and the geopolitical environment.

The A.S. is offered entirely online and asynchronously, with attendance credit earned by submitting assignments on time within deadlines. Completion prepares students to enter roles within the engineering field or pursue further engineering studies.
