Sport Management

Sport Management is a Bachelor program taught at Heidelberg College, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Sport Management program at Heidelberg College prepares students to pursue careers in professional sports, intercollegiate athletics, facility operations, recreation management, and other sport-related businesses. Students study how the sport product relates to management principles, and they develop knowledge of sports management concepts, communication techniques for the sports industry, and evidence-based skills for planning and implementing sports-industry programs.

Courses cover history of sport and fitness, sport management, facility and event management, athletic administration and sports governance, legal aspects of sport, and sport and society. Students also complete a Senior Capstone Experience and take courses in media writing or advertising and PR campaigns, interpersonal communication, persuasion, business fundamentals, business law, principles of accounting, management, and marketing. Students gain experience through event programming, facility management, and personal training through the Saurwein Health and Wellness Center.

The minimum requirements for admission in Sport Management at Heidelberg College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Heidelberg College.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Heidelberg College as pre-requiste for admission in Sport Management.
