Biology
Introduction
Biology is a program taught at Kenai Peninsula College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
A Biology degree focuses on the study of living organisms and supports a broad understanding of both traditional and modern biological sciences. The program is designed to help students connect life processes they learn in the classroom with work in the laboratory. Courses are described as suitable preparation for professional degrees, teaching, and careers in government or industry.
Study includes completion of a basic science core curriculum in the chemical, physical, and mathematical sciences, plus required and elective courses in the biological sciences. The Kachemak Bay and Kenai River campuses offer many classes that lead to partial completion of UAA biology degrees, so students are encouraged to consult an academic advisor to plan and monitor progress. The degree pathways mentioned are UAA BA Biological Sciences and UAA BS Biological Sciences.
