Barbering Apprenticeship

Barbering Apprenticeship is a program taught at Madison Area Technical College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Barbering Apprenticeship at Madison College is an apprenticeship program that combines on-the-job training in a licensed establishment with class time. You work with an employer sponsor while also attending school and earning income during all phases of the training period, including hours you attend classes. The program is designed to build skills in haircutting, shaving and beard design, chemical services, client-centered consultation, styling and finishing, and science and safety.

The program is delivered through a mix of online and in-person learning: some online and some in person. Apprenticeship training requires 2,000 hours of paid training, including 288 hours in a virtual, online class setting. You train a minimum of 32 hours per week under a licensed professional and attend classes for four and a half hours per week over four semesters. 100% attendance is mandatory for successful completion.

The minimum requirements for admission in Barbering Apprenticeship at Madison Area Technical College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Madison Area Technical College.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Madison Area Technical College as pre-requiste for admission in Barbering Apprenticeship.
