Diploma in Limited Scope Radiography

Limited Scope Radiography is a Diploma program taught at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2 years) options.

Limited Scope Radiography is a diploma program at Minnesota State Community and Technical College that prepares students for entry-level limited scope radiography work. Students learn to work with healthcare providers to communicate with and position patients for radiography examinations. The program also covers radiographic equipment use, selection and adjustment of technical factors, radiation protection, and obtaining and evaluating diagnostic images.

Learning includes a combination of coursework and hands-on clinical assignments. Students learn radiation safety standards, proper positioning skills, patient care techniques, evaluation of radiographs for appropriate anatomy, positioning, and image quality, and standards of professional and ethical behavior.

The program is 46 credits and is located at the Detroit Lakes Campus. After earning the diploma, students can apply to the LSR Bridge for an additional year of targeted radiologic technology training with eligibility to sit for the national radiologic technology exam.
