Introduction

Art is a Bachelor program taught at New College of Florida, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

The B.A. in Art at New College of Florida sits in the Humanities division. Students focus on art-making and also on technical and conceptual aspects of art across wood, metal, painting, drawing, and digital arts. The program includes studio classes that move from foundations to advanced work, with courses shaped by historical and contemporary perspectives.

Students study through an area of concentration, with options that include an area of concentration, joint concentration, and a secondary field. Studio facilities support large-scale painting and drawing projects in oil, acrylic, and watercolor, plus sculpture work with a foundry, woodworking area, and welding area, and printmaking studios for intaglio, block printing, and screen-printing.
