Introduction

Biopsychology is a Bachelor program taught at New College of Florida, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Biopsychology is a B.A. program in the Interdisciplinary division. It focuses on understanding human and animal behavior through a biological lens, including physiology, anatomy, sociality, and ecology. Students design a flexible course of study with an area of concentration and a secondary field, working on research projects that require students to conceive, organize, conduct, and report.

The curriculum includes recent courses such as Animal Processes Laboratory: Goldfish Learning and Cognition, Behavioral Endocrinology, Drugs and Behavior, and fNIRS Neuroimaging. Students learn through laboratory work, including PSYC 4200 Laboratory in Comparative Brain Connectivity, where they work with brain imaging data to map connective pathways across species. The program emphasizes relationships outside the college, with internships, service as laboratory assistants, and work with veterinarians and other professionals in the community.
