GRAPHIC DESIGN
Introduction
GRAPHIC DESIGN is a Bachelor program taught at Nicholls State University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Graphic Design program at Nicholls State University trains students to use language, type style, imagery, and symbols to create works that convey critical thought. Coursework covers commercial, cultural, social, historical, and technological concepts in a graphic design context. It includes graphic design through foundations such as beginning and color design, plus study of web, layout, typography, digital art, and motion graphics.
Instruction uses studio facilities and specialized labs. Students use a graphic design studio with a computer laboratory that includes a sound and video workroom, a vinyl cutter, and large display screens for student and visiting artist presentations. Adobe Creative Suite is available on Apple workstations, and Maxon Cinema 4D is provided for 3D students on personal computers. Every graphic design student interns with a design firm or area business, and the LuLab provides large-format print support.
