Introduction

Electromechanical Technology is a Bachelor program taught at Nicolet Area Technical College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Electromechanical Technology is an Associate of Applied Science program at Nicolet Area Technical College. Students develop technical skills in electronics, fluid power, mechanical systems, computers, and computer-controlled machines. The curriculum studies programmable logic controllers, robotics, motors and drives, servo hydraulic systems, and closed loop positioning, and it connects these skill areas to create automated systems through a hands-on project course in an integrated manufacturing system.

The program is organized into term-by-term course work. It includes Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for beginning skills, Industrial Safety Fundamentals with an OSHA 30 card and confined space certificate upon completion, and instruction in basic electrical circuits, inductance and capacitance, and transformer analysis. Mechanical and controls topics include hydraulic and pneumatic operation, ladder logic elements and control logic, PLC fundamentals, mechanical drive systems, sensors and switching circuits, and three-phase motor control.
