Bachelor's in Human Biology
Introduction
Human Biology is a Bachelor program taught at Pitzer College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
Human Biology at Pitzer College uses tools from biology and the social sciences to study questions about humans and humanity. Students choose one of two tracks: a social science focus through anthropology, sociology, and psychology, or a focus on how different cultures understand and apply health and healing.
The major is split into two tracks with different educational objectives. Students complete at least 15 courses and a senior thesis. Coursework includes introductory biology and chemistry, upper-division biology with laboratory, and track-specific upper-division courses. Students also take classes through the intercollegiate Department of Natural Sciences and use labs, classrooms, offices, and a community greenhouse in the Nucleus science building.
