Early Childhood Education
Introduction
Early Childhood Education is a program taught at Sinclair Community College, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
Early Childhood Education prepares students to work with young children and to understand professional ethics and issues in the Early Childhood Education field. Students review historical and current trends, examine types of early education and care programs, and apply knowledge of the characteristics and needs of young children from birth through adolescence. Courses also cover observation, documentation, assessment, and curriculum and planning for birth to age five.
Instruction includes center observations and on-site center observations in observation and assessment courses, plus practicum experiences in early childhood education classrooms. Students complete required classroom hours through ECE 2301 and/or ECE 2303 and ECE 2304, and attend a weekly seminar on Sinclair’s main campus. Background checks/fingerprints and medical documentation are required before practicum registration.

Admission Requirements
The minimum requirements for admission in Early Childhood Education at Sinclair Community College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:
- program specific academic requirment set by Sinclair Community College.
- English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Sinclair Community College as pre-requiste for admission in Early Childhood Education.
