Bachelor's in Chemistry and Biochemistry
Introduction
Chemistry and Biochemistry is a Bachelor program taught at Southern Connecticut State University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
Students study chemistry through a discovery-based education that combines classroom learning, hands-on laboratory experience, and faculty-mentored research. The program supports interdisciplinary areas such as environmental chemistry, focused on marine and environmental studies, and biochemistry, focused on biology, biotechnology, and preparation for medical study. Coursework explores specialized areas including biochemistry, environmental chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, physical chemistry, and polymer chemistry.
Instruction includes chemistry coursework plus laboratory experience that uses instruments for chemical analysis. Students develop skills in synthetic, computational, and analytical chemistry.
