Computer Engineering
Introduction
Computer Engineering is a program taught at Stevens Institute of Technology, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
Stevens Institute of Technology offers a Ph. D. in Computer Engineering through the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Students develop knowledge and techniques to build models, algorithms, and architectures to solve challenges across computer hardware and software, digital systems, electronics, and wireless communications. They also work with faculty innovators who advance principles and practices for complex systems.
The program is available on campus and supports research through faculty-mentored study. Students can study under a faculty mentor in areas that include Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing, Information Systems and Cybersecurity, Cognitive Radio Networks and Spectrum Management, Data Analytics, Internet of Things, Blockchain Technology, and Applied Artificial Intelligence. Students also have access to the HUDSONLab and the AISecLab, and can work in research facilities.
Stevens states that Ph. D. graduates are highly regarded in academia, with many alumni going on to careers as research fellows and faculty at other institutions. Stevens also lists assistantships and fellowships, and a Graduate Cooperative Education Program with two tracks that can support a starting point for a research project or on-campus research.
